カイトは右翼系ゴシップ誌の記者として生計を立てていた。一方、ナギサは未来の東京でフリーのゲームコンサルタントとして平穏な独身生活を送っていた。ある日、元同僚が時代設定が過去の新・心理仮想ゲーム『レベル4』のテストを依頼してくる。世界リリースの準備が進む一方、開発会社は未知のコンピューターウィルスに苦しんでいた。発売前にゲームの修復を約束したナギサだが、そこにカイトの人生が深く影響していく.。
